A Perry No.2701M/SE M12 Metric Threaded Bar Sprayed Ends 1m (L) Zinc Plated Pack of 5 are manufactured from grade 4.8 mild steel. Used as fasteners to non-permanently join objects together, threaded bar (also known as threaded rod, allthread and stud) is a length of mild steel with thread cut into it resembling a headless bolt. The thread is created through thread rolling and can be applied across the entire length of the material, on one end or both. To create a product with greater strength, hardness, and wear resistance, this process is carried out when the the component is cold. The thread direction is right handed which means that a clockwise rotation will tighten the fastener to the bar or rod. Threaded bar is used for both commercial and home application, with some examples including air conditioning unit supports, mezzanine floors, lighting fixtures, hanging shelves, metal tables and furniture design.The threaded rod is used with standard nuts as well as washers. Product is easy to bend and shape when needed.
