Introducing the Briton 1438, a push pad emergency exit device with single point rim latch that is perfect for use in emergency exit applications by fully trained personnel in low occupancy areas such as offices, factories, private flats, store and boiler rooms. This device is suitable for single doors up to 1300mm wide and the first opening leaf of double rebated door applications when used with the Briton 372 vertical bolt device and double door strike. It is designed to satisfy emergency exit applications and is certified to BS EN 179. The Briton 1438 has been tested in excess of 200,000 cycles and features two-point locking for extra security. It is fire rated to 120 minutes, suitable for timber doors, non-handed and supplied with fixings and self-adhesive "Push to Open" signage. The device also comes with a 5-year manufacturer's guarantee.
